Prostate Cancer The Most Prevalent Nonskin Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most prevalent nonskin cancer among men in the United States and is the second leading cause of cancer death in men. While prostate cancer is most regularly diagnosed in men at the age of 65 years and older, the occurrence can begin at 50. One in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. As researchers explore this form of cancer; men also need to know it’s essential to understand early prostate cancer is treatable. By these patients exploring these insights and investigating the lived experience of older men, it can provide a positive coping mechanisms. Introduction The lived experience of men diagnosed with prostate cancer can be understood as a phenomenology of human experience.†¦show more content†¦A digital rectal exam is completed yearly to establish prostate location, size, and the presence of nodules. (ACS, 2011) Research phenomenon identifies these concepts of values, fears and consider the lived significance and its importance to each person’s perception of their particular experience. The clear purpose of this lived experience of men being diagnosed with prostate cancer is to use qualitative research by collecting data in a real world experience of the men, using a realistic setting, and by organizing interviews of the participant’s life. In qualitative conclusions researches emphasis on the congruent environment of reality, the familiar connections between the researcher, studies and situational limitations that designed the investigations. The project significance consists of steps of existential human knowledge; lived space (spatiality), lived body (corporeality), lived time (temporality) and lived other (relationality), all describe the way these men may experience this situation in their world. (Krumwiede, Krumwiede, 2012) Review of the Literature Phenomenology is a guided analysis and transformed personal experience into disciplinary understanding. This style of research (lived experience) also delivers a clear identified method for these men such as, using semi-structured and open-ended questions addressing the lived experience.
